Fireworks this weekend near Wisconsin Rapids

The Pittsville fireworks display has been rescheduled for Friday, July 5, at 10 p.m. at Riverside Park. Several other fireworks displays are also planned.

Did you miss Thursday night’s fireworks in Wisconsin Rapids because of the rain? Or are you looking to extend your Fourth of July celebration? If so, here’s a list of nearby fireworks displays taking place on Friday and Saturday nights.


About two hours before the fireworks display was scheduled to begin Thursday night at Riverside Park as part of Pittsville’s annual Independence Day celebration, organizers announced on Facebook that the display would be postponed “due to weather changes faster than expected.”

The date has been rescheduled for Friday at 10 p.m. Organizers said food stalls will be open starting at 7 p.m., but due to permit restrictions, only lemonade and water will be available as beverages.

Wisconsin Rapids

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters will host a fireworks display following their Friday night game against the Green Bay Rockers at Witter Field, according to their website. Game time is set for 6:35 p.m. For ticket information, visit


Visit Lake Sherwood Lodge, 1146 W. Queens Way in the town of Rome, for an Independence Day celebration Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. The event includes food and beer vendors, a boat parade at 1 p.m., a cornhole tournament at 1 p.m., children’s activities from 2 to 4 p.m., a game tent, performances by the Shermalot Juniors Ski Team at 4:30 p.m. and a main show at 7:20 p.m., music by Southbound from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and fireworks at nightfall.

Stevens Point

The Castle Rock Lions Club is hosting Patriotic Days on Saturday and Sunday at Castle Rock County Park, 2397 Adams County Z in Friendship. Saturday’s events include a car show starting at 9 a.m. and fireworks at nightfall. Vendors will be selling food, popcorn, novelty items, soda and beer. There will be a pancake breakfast on Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon.
