Caerphilly rock band The Manics comprise cousins ​​James Dean Bradfield (lead vocals, lead guitar) and Sean Moore (drums, percussion, soundscapes) and Nicky Wire (bass guitar, lyrics). They were an important part of the Welsh cultural movement Cool Cymru of the 1990s.

Manic Street Preachers and Suede performance times at Cardiff Castle

On both days the gates open at 5pm and entry is via the north gate in Bute Park. Last entry to the show is at 8.30pm.

The box office is open from 3pm on the day of the event and is located at the North Entrance. It can be accessed near Castle Mews on North Road and in Bute Park.

Re-entry is generally not possible and ticket holders must expect queues at the entrance. So arrive in good time before the first act you want to see. There will be no refunds for acts missed.

Prohibited items in Cardiff Castle

You are not allowed to bring chairs to the concert. Food and drink are not permitted, however there will be food and drink stalls during the event. Find out about the latest events in Wales by signing up to our What’s On newsletter here.

One sealed water bottle of maximum 500ml is permitted per person. One empty, reusable water bottle is permitted. There are free water refill stations at the venue. If you have a medical condition, only diet-specific food and drinks with a doctor’s note are permitted.

No animals are allowed on site, except for guide dogs or hearing dogs. You are allowed to bring any medication you require. Please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please ensure you only bring enough for the duration of the festival and keep it safe with you at all times.

Small bags/backpacks are allowed. A bag search will be carried out. Umbrellas are not allowed as they obstruct the view of others. Cameras that are considered “professional” are not allowed into the arena.

The event is outdoors and will go ahead unless extreme weather conditions prevail, so you may need to pack your raincoat. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

There is no parking available at the castle. The nearest alternative car parks are the NCPs in Westgate Street, Cardiff Arms Park or Sofia Gardens.
