Cheap Trick’s Robin Taylor Zander performs in Rockford | MyStateline

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Cheap Trick singer Robin Taylor Zander will perform at the Prairie Street Brewhouse this summer.

The free concert will take place on July 12th at 8 p.m. on the Dock Stage on Prairie Street.


Zander is joined by Adam Krier of Lucky Boys Confusion and AM Taxi on keyboards/guitar, Adam Arling of The Last Vegas and Black Angus on bass, and Frank Ferrer of Guns n’ Roses and The Psychedelic Furs on drums.

“Whether you’re relaxing on a boat ramp, enjoying a delicious dinner, or simply enjoying free admission to the bar, this is an evening you won’t want to miss,” Prairie Street Brewing Company said in a statement.

Robin Taylor Zander is the son of Cheap Trick founding member Robin Zander and a full-time member of the band.

Cheap Trick was formed in Rockford in 1973 by Robin Zander, guitarist Rick Nielsen, bassist Tom Petersson and drummer Bun E. Carlos. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and the Illinois Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.
