Trio sues LA Opera and Music Center for wrongful termination and discrimination

Three men, including a father and his son, are suing the LA Opera and Music Center of Los Angeles Inc., claiming they were denied return to their jobs for reasons including race, workplace accidents and testimony during a workplace investigation.

The plaintiffs in the Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit are Timothy Tyler and his son Robert Tyler, as well as Daymon Scott. They allege multiple causes of action ranging from wrongful termination and retaliation to racial discrimination and disability discrimination.

The plaintiffs are seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages. A representative for the LA Opera did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday.
