Hallmark shows first look at the sequel to the Christmas film “Three Wise Men”

Christmas in July is here – and Hallmark Channel is already handing out presents.

On Saturday, July 6, Hallmark released a first teaser on Three wise men and a boy following the network debut of an extended cut of their 2022 Christmas hit Three wise men and a babywith Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker and Paul Campbell.

And in this first footage it is clear that the Brenner brothers are dancing again.

In the clip, Luke (Walker) exclaims, “Let’s do it. Christmas. At home,” while sitting at a table with his brothers. And just like the last time the three brothers celebrated together, chaos reigns.

In addition to the unforgettable dancing, Luke gets tangled in a string of lights, Stephan (Campbell) and Taylor (Hynes) play a wild game of rock, paper, scissors, a tree falls over, and the titular boy, Thomas (Miles Marthaller), in his Christmas pajamas, waves and says, “Hi, Dad.”

The film, written by Campbell, Kimberley Sustad and Russell Hainline, picks up five years after the end of the first film, which was the most-watched original movie on cable television in 2022.

The official synopsis of the sequel reads: “In a crazy turn of events, possibly inadvertently brought about by the brothers themselves, the director of Luke’s son Thomas’s school holiday musical resigns. Determined to make his son’s stage dreams come true, Luke enlists the help of his brothers Taylor and Stephan. Meanwhile, the trio meet their mother Barbara’s (Margaret Colin) new boyfriend and the brothers grapple with their own feelings about the relationship. In true Brenner Brothers fashion, they are all in for a Christmas they’ll never forget.”

“It’s going to be better than the first one,” Walker, 45, told PEOPLE last month. “It’s basically like a James Bond Christmas movie. It’s so ambitious.”

“You’ll see some of the fun dancing and possibly some of the songs that we did in the first film, so there’s a little bit of old, a lot of new, and the jokes and the heart of the film are just… incredible,” Walker continued. “I think it’s a funnier – almost in a different way – heartier film.”
