Before the franchise’s next candidates get our roses, get to know some of the top candidates from the Sunshine State:

Tyler Cameron is from Jupiter, Florida

The contestant who has the ability to make Bachelor Nation and some supermodels swoon.

With his sense of humor, sensitive side and quickness to defend leading lady Hannah Brown, Tyler Cameron, of Jupiter, easily became a fan favorite on season 15 of The Bachelorette in 2019. Longtime fans and casual viewers alike watched in sadness as Brown split from Tyler for dog food jingle writer Jed Wyatt.

Although Tyler did not return in any of the spin-offs and turned down the title role of The Bachelor the following season, he remained popular with over two million followers on Instagram. After the show premiered, he dated supermodel Gigi Hadid for the rest of the year and launched a career in modeling.

In April, Cameron released “Going Home with Tyler Cameron” on Amazon Prime, which follows his journey “from bachelor to construction worker to businessman” while renovating homes in Jupiter.

Corinne Olympios comes from Miami

For long-time Bachelor fans, this candidate will go down in the history books of reality shows.

Corinne Olympios is known for her one-liners and her feud with Taylor Nolan, another Season 25 contestant, when she was competing for Nick Viall’s hand in 2017. Who could forget the iconic moment when Olympios took a nap during one of the rose ceremonies and defended herself by saying, “Michael Jordan took naps.” In the end, her taunts and scheming weren’t enough for Viall.

She was invited back for the next season of Bachelor in Paradise. However, she left the show after the first week when ABC was forced to turn off the cameras and shut down production to investigate allegations of misconduct. Someone in production allegedly saw Olympios and DeMario Jackson, her co-star from season four of BIP, having an encounter that they believed was not consensual.

However, according to People, after the investigation was completed, Corinne denied that anything happened without her consent and apologized to Jackson for the way he was portrayed in the media.

As of now, she is using her fame to grow her business as CEO and founder of her jewelry, clothing and home decor line, Aura Sugar Co. She currently has 1 million followers on Instagram.

Juan Pablo Galavis comes from Miami

The infamous Bachelor leading man became a villain during his own season.

The Venezuelan-born professional soccer player made waves in 2013 when he was a contender for the heart of then-Desiree Hastock. After being eliminated in the ninth week of the season, Galavis was chosen as the franchise’s first male Latino lead.

However, things quickly went awry when he made negative comments about the possibility of a gay bachelor taking the lead role. He later claimed his comments were mistranslated from his native Spanish and taken out of context.

During his actual season, contestants complained that the single father was noticeably uninterested in most of them and made several remarks about them. The Cut said ABC later had to apologize multiple times for his “careless, thoughtless and insensitive” comments both before and during the show’s airing.

In the end, he refused to give a ring to his final choice, Nikki Ferrell, but the two dated for a few months after the season ended before breaking up.

Rachel Recchia is from Clermont, Florida

Rachel Recchia held her own in the franchise with dual lead roles during its first season, sharing the role of Bachelorette with Colorado nurse Gabby Windey after the nation watched the two get brutally dumped by Clayton Echard.

The Clermont pilot had several problems while dealing with her men. She sent a guy home on her first date and was rejected by guys who wanted Windey’s rose. She ended up getting her act together with Californian contractor Tino Franco, and he proposed to her in the show’s finale. But just as viewers were celebrating the happy couple’s engagement, they were shocked by the hour-long breakup sequence in which Recchia confronts Franco about his infidelity.

Recchia also failed to find a partner on the beaches of Mexico. Viewers of “Bachelor in Paradise” commented that she was being put to the test. After unsuccessful dates with several men, she finally left the show on her own.

Ellen Goltzer is from Delray Beach, Florida

Ellen Goltzer, a retired teacher from Delray Beach, was a popular contestant on the first season of The Golden Bachelor. She was sent home in the fifth week.

“She spends her time playing pickleball, golf and card games with her two sons. In her free time, Ellen also reads the newspaper, watches television and plays bocce ball with her friends,” ABC said.

Goltzer won over the audience with the story of her friend Roberta, who died of cancer. She said they were fans of the main show and her friend urged her to apply for the spinoff “Golden Bachelor.”

April Kirkwood is from Port St. Lucie, Florida

April Kirkwood made it on the show for four weeks before “Golden Bachelor” Gerry Turner sent her home to Port St. Lucie. On the show, she became a fan favorite with her chicken references, dancing, and her gift to Turner – a calendar featuring only the month of April.

Her first appearance caught viewers’ attention, especially after she said in a confessional that she wanted to let Turner know that “her balls are fresh.” The appearance received mixed reactions. Kirkwood said she heard people say she should be “in an insane asylum.”

“I didn’t understand how they made that connection,” Kirkwood said. “I’m eccentric and I’m moody — which is a nice word for eccentric — but I didn’t think it was crazy.”

Bryan Abasolo comes from Miami

Abasolo, a chiropractor, received former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s final rose in 2017 and eventually married in August 2019.

In January of this year, Abasolo filed for divorce after four years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for his separation from Lindsay.

“After more than four years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start over,” Abasolo said in a statement on his Instagram page (which has since been deleted). “Sometimes loving yourself and your partner means letting go.”

Peter Izzo is from Port St. Joe, Florida

One of the cheesiest reality TV villains of all time.

Peter “Pizza Peter” Izzo caused a stir on season 18 of The Bachelorette with Minnesota-based teacher Michelle Young. The other contestants quickly noticed that all conversations with Izzo always revolved around two things – pizza or his own restaurant in Port St. Joe, Peter’s Pizzeria. Things got particularly heated when Izzo threw Will Urena’s prize from a challenge into a pool, which led to his elimination in the third week.

The “pizzapreneur” joined Bachelor in Paradise season 8 to get a second chance at love. However, he left that same episode after upsetting beachgoers and not finding a suitable partner in time. He currently has 13,200 followers on Instagram and has opened a second pizzeria in Boca Raton.

Kat Izzo is from Tampa, Florida

Like Girod, Katherine Izzo also competed in season 27 of The Bachelor, as well as season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise, where she made her debut as a villain.

She eventually became engaged to contestant John Henry Spurlock. However, the two announced their split with a joint Instagram post (which was later deleted at an unknown date).
