Vicki Lee Butler, 60, died June 29, 2024 in Winter Garden, Florida.

She was born on November 25, 1963 in Wilmington.

Vicki was a precious soul who touched the lives of many with her warm kindness and selfless spirit. Vicki dedicated her life to the noble profession of teaching, molding young minds with love and dedication for 30 years at Hillsboro City Schools. After retiring from the career she loved, she found joy in bringing joy to others by working at the Walt Disney World Resort for nearly five years.

Vicki was a faithful servant of the Lord and an active and devoted member of Mosaic Church in Winter Garden, Florida. Her unwavering faith and commitment to her community was evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Vicki enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including her love of reading, the excitement of travel and adventure, and spending time with her family – she truly found joy in everything they did together, especially visits to the Disney parks.

Vicki leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Jim; her beloved children, Laura and Christopher; her loving mother, Dorcas Butler; her caring siblings, Karen (Darren) Kessel and Rob (Megan) Butler; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Nicholas and Elizabeth Kessel, and William, Caroline and John Butler.

She finds her eternal rest with her father Dennis Butler and her brother Bruce Butler.

A service to honor Vicki’s life will be held on Saturday, July 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hillsboro Church of Christ in Hillsboro.
