Tyler Bate apparently struggling with an injury after the tag team match at WWE NXT

On Monday night, Pete Dunne competed on WWE Raw for the first time since May, but unusually, Dunne was seen in a singles match against Bronson Reed rather than with his New Catch Republic partner Tyler Bate. Fans learned the reason as Dunne made his way to the ring – according to commentary, Bate is out indefinitely due to an injury he sustained last week on WWE NXT during New Catch Republic’s match against Hank Waller and Tank Ledger.

Looking back at Tuesday’s show, it appears that Bate injured himself near the end of the match, possibly on the final move. After executing a tornillo from the top rope and pinning Ledger, Bate could be seen holding his left arm close to his body. After the match, he seemed surprised at how his arm felt and began to flex his fingers, and when the referee went to raise his hand, Dunne pushed the referee away. At the time of this writing, there are no details on the exact nature of the injury or how long Bate might be out, although it may be telling that after his fight with Reed, Dunne apparently began a program with his former Brawling Brutes teammate Sheamus.
