HTeaO delayed but still coming to Highland Village – Cross Timbers Gazette | Southern Denton County | Flower Mound

A new HTeaO site is still being planned, but some planning changes have caused delays.

HTeaO serves tea made from high-quality reverse osmosis water, available in bottled, gallon and 5-gallon sizes. Each location has a full tea bar with over 26 sweet and unsweetened teas, as well as a fruit bar. All beverages are half price daily from 2-4pm, and first responders in uniform drink free anytime.

A company spokesperson said HTeaO plans to open three new locations in Flower Mound, Highland Village and Lewisville in 2022. The Lewisville location opened this spring at 1267 W. Round Grove Road, and the Flower Mound location is scheduled to open later this year. Construction on the Highland Village location has not yet gotten underway, leading some residents to wonder if it is still imminent.

The answer is yes, but not without waiting a little longer.

The Highland Village City Council approved HTeaO’s location at 2240 Justin Road, across from the Painted Tree, back in February 2022. Since then, however, the business has transitioned from a franchise to a corporate store, and company management wants to make some changes to the building footprint plans, according to a city spokesperson. The changes require them to go back to the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council for approval. As of Tuesday, the city has not yet received the site plan amendment, so it’s not clear when it will go to P&Z and the City Council.
