Latest motorway closures confirmed for the next two weeks

Drivers on the M25 and A1(M) should be aware of these planned closures for the next two weeks.

Delayed journeys on the M25 between junctions 20 and 21 (Hemel Hempstead, A41 and M1) are expected to experience delays of between 10 and 30 minutes from Monday 22 July to Saturday 27 July.

The road will be closed for construction and repair work from Monday to Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and on Friday night from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. A diversion via local authority roads will be set up.

This also involves lane and access closures.

Below is the full list of motorway closures near Watford:

  • M25, from 22:00 on 22 July until 06:00 on 27 July, moderate delays (10-30 minutes). Clockwise, Junction 20 to Junction 21.
    Road closures, feeder road closures and road closures due to asphalting work. Diversion via municipal roads.

  • M25, from 22:00 on 8 July to 6:00 on 1 August, moderate delays (10-30 minutes). Clockwise, Junction 23 to Junction 24.
    Road and access closure for the NEAR project. Diversion via National Highways.

  • M25, from 22:00 on 16 July until 05:00 on 17 July, slight delays (less than 10 minutes). Anti-clockwise, Junction 22 to Junction 23.
    Road closure due to technical replacement work.

  • A1(M), from 22:00 on July 8 to 6:00 on July 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes). Northbound, Junction 1 to Junction 3.
    Lane closures, feeder road closures and road closures due to concrete repair work. Diversion via national highways and local roads.
