All locations of the destroyed forge in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

Do you hope to find all the destroyed forges in the shadow of the Earth Tree? When it comes to dungeons, there’s no shortage of them in Elden Ring. There are even more to explore in the Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC, including mini-dungeons called Ruined Forges. There are only three of these in the Realm of Shadow – Ruined Forge Lava Intake, Ruined Forge of Starfall Past, and Taylew’s Ruined Forge – but each offers its own unique challenges for you to overcome, with some excellent rewards at the end.

In this guide, we’ll show you where to find each of the Forge Ruins in Shadow of the Erdtree. Besides their location and how to reach them, we’ll also tell you a little about what surprises await you at the end. Trust us, they’re worth exploring.

Locations of the Ruined Forge of Elden Ring

We’ve marked the locations of the three ruined forges on the map below. The ruined forge’s lava inlet vent is located very early in the Gravesite level near the Castle Front Site of Grace, the Starfall Past ruined forge is located in Scadu Altus near the Moorth Ruins, and Taylew’s ruined forge is located near the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace in Rauh Base.

This derelict forge is located southeast of the Castle Front Site of Grace in Gravesite Plain. To reach it, head southeast from the Site of Grace and down the hill past the Blood Fiends brawling with the Messmer soldiers. This path will lead you directly to the entrance of the derelict forge’s lava inlet.

For a complete walkthrough of this location, check out our Ruined Forge Lava Inlet walkthrough. Traveling there will net you many rewards, including a variety of Forgestones, the Forgescript Dagger, the Grand Potentate’s Cookbook (13), and most importantly, the Anvil Hammer and an Ancient Dragonforgestone. The latter two are located at the very end of the Forge and are absolutely worth the battles you’ll have to fight to reach them.

The Starfall Past Ruins Forge is located in Scadu Altus. Head directly southwest from the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace and you’ll soon reach the ruins of the forge on your left.

Much like the previous Ruined Forge, this one is full of Smithing Stones and other valuable items to find – including the Smithscript Spear, Smithscript Cirque, and Smithing Talisman – but at the altar at the end you’ll find the grand prize, an Ancient Greatsword made from Meteor Ore and an Ancient Dragonsmithing Stone.

Taylev’s destroyed forge

Taylew’s Ruined Forge can be reached by following the path north from the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace. To reach this Site of Grace, you must go through the caves in the lake north of the Moorth Ruins. Continue through the caves and the following area until you reach the Rauh Base. The Site of Grace is directly ahead; activate it and then continue your journey north along the path to reach the Forge.

There are some exciting finds in this ruined forge. As well as the usual selection of forgestones, including two Ancient Dragon Forgestones, there is also the Forgescript Axe, Forgescript Greathammer, Forgescript Shield, and at the very end, the Spirit Ash of Taylew, the Golem Smith. If you’re looking for a sturdy summon for battle, Taylew’s Spirit Ash is definitely worth investing in.
