He has shared his expertise with international universities and has been a visiting professor at New York University, the University of Warsaw in Poland, Ritsumeikan University in Japan, and Tel Aviv University in Israel.

RESTON, VA, July 10, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ – Dr. Richard G. Linowes, President and Founding Professor of Clarewood University, has been selected by Marquis Who’s Who for a prominent feature in the Washington, DC, regional edition of The New Yorker.

Dr. Linowes is a recognized expert in the fields of business management and education with over 40 years of professional excellence. He specializes in corporate quality management and intercultural relations and is motivated by his inner drive to develop enlightened leaders for business and government and to prevent unethical behavior in business. He began his career in 1974 as an employee of the Matsushita Electric Industrial Company and has since been celebrated as President and Founding Professor of Clarewood University in Reston, Virginia. He has also served as a lecturer at the Foreign Services Institute of the U.S. Department of State.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Linowes was a senior systems analyst at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Washington, DC until 1977, a research associate at Harvard Business School from 1978 to 1982, and a consultant for Goldman Sachs from 1983 to 1986. He then served as Kogod Outstanding Professor of Undergraduate Programs at the Kogod School of Business at American University from 1986 to 2019. He also lent his expertise to international universities, serving as visiting professor at New York University, the University of Warsaw in Poland, Ritsumeikan University in Japan, and Tel Aviv University in Israel. In addition, Dr. Linowes devoted his time to his community as vice president of his local homeowners association and member of Shaare Torah, and as founder and director of the Richard G. and Elisa G. Linowes Charitable Fund.

Throughout his career, Dr. Linowes was especially proud to attend the inaugural gathering of the Kogod Alumni Network of Greater New York, which was attended by 30 former students. He visits former students around the world to see how their careers have evolved since their school days. His novel teaching methods build their confidence to pursue their mission in their personal and professional lives. In recognition of his achievements, Dr. Linowes was awarded the Fulbright Fellowship for Educational Innovation in New Zealand in 1989.

Dr. Linowes attended Princeton University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Cybernetics in 1973. Shortly thereafter, he earned a Master of Science in Computer and Communication Science from the University of Michigan in 1975. After completing his education, he enrolled at Harvard University, where he received a Doctor of Business Administration in 1984.
