Stacey Dooley lands exciting new job after winning Strictly Come Dancing

From Good Housekeeping

It’s been a pretty amazing few months for documentary filmmaker Stacey Dooley, who captured the nation’s affection while dancing Be sure to come and dance with Kevin Clifton and won the Glitterball trophy with him in December 2018. Shortly afterwards, the journalist got a job as a presenter of the BBC’s New Year’s Eve celebrations with colleagues Strictly with Joe Sugg as the star.

When her New Year’s Eve hosting gig was announced, Stacey said: “2018 has been a fantastic year for me. I’ve worked on some hard-hitting documentaries and Strictlywas a real pleasure. Performing with Joe Sugg at the New Year’s Eve concert with Madness is the perfect end to such a great year!”

It seems that 2019 will be just as fulfilling for Stacey as she has found a new role that connects to her roots as an investigative journalist.

She was appointed contributing editor (Investigations) at Grace Journal and will be writing a series of investigations for publication throughout the year.

“I am very pleased about the collaboration with the Grace team this year. I really like their commitment to exploring stories, both at home and much further afield. I can’t wait to get started,” said Stacey of the new role.

In addition to her hard work, Stacey will also be involved in the Strictly Tour this year, dancing with Aljaž Škorjanec, while Kevin Clifton works on a West End production.

She shared a video of her and Aljaž posing for promotional photos – and it looks like they can’t wait to hit the dance floor.

So 2019 promises to be an exciting year for Stacey and we look forward to seeing her shine in the coming months.
