McVay received even more praise after the game.
“I thought he was really active. One of the things you feel with him is he’s really there when the games start, and that’s what the Clemson tape said. … I thought it was a really positive step in the right direction for Tyler today,” McVay said.
A native of Apopka, Florida, Davis was selected to the 2022 second-team All-American and became the first Clemson defensive player to be named to the All-ACC selection four times, including three consecutive first-team honors from 2021-2023.
