Conservatives vote against two-way, all-day GO to Kitchener-Waterloo

Published on April 5, 2019

QUEEN’S PARK—Kitchener Centre NDP MPP Laura Mae Lindo released the following statement after the Conservatives voted against her motion calling for a clear plan to deliver two-way, all-day GO train service to Kitchener-Waterloo:

“Kitchener-Waterloo families have waited years for reliable, all day access to GO trains to and from Toronto. After decades of Liberal disappointments, commuters are right to be concerned, and to demand that they’re let into a plan to finally deliver the GO service that they’ve been promised for so long. Today, I was shocked that the Conservatives voted down a motion to do just that and provide families with a plan to finally deliver two-way, all-day GO trains to Kitchener-Waterloo.

Families are right to be worried that the Conservatives are opting to hide their plans because they have no plans—they deserve better.”
