EAA announces new inductees into the 2024 Sport Aviation Hall of Fame

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) has announced its 2024 inductees to the Sport Aviation Halls of Fame.

“The EAA Sport Aviation Halls of Fame were established to honor the outstanding achievements of men and women in aviation who share the spirit of the EAA and its community,” the organization said. “Those inducted into the Halls of Fame are selected by their peers for their countless contributions to their respective fields of aviation.”

The class of 2024 will honor six new inductees representing the Vintage Aircraft Association, the International Aerobatic Club, ultralight aircraft, EAA Warbirds and homebuilders.

New additions in 2024 include:

  • EAA Home Builders Hall of Fame: Sebastien Heintz, owner and president of Zenith Aircraft Company;
  • Hall of Fame of the International Aerobatic Club: Linda Meyers Morrissey, multiple World Aerobatic Championship medalist and long-time member of the US Unlimited Aerobatic Team;
  • Warbirds of America Hall of Fame: Frank Stickler, a former U.S. Air Force and American Airlines pilot and founder of Fox 51, a maintenance company specializing in historic aircraft and warbirds;
  • Vintage Aircraft Association Hall of Fame: Dave and Jeanne Allen (posthumously), the husband and wife restoration team, are known in the fly-in scene for numerous projects, including a 1930 Waco ASO and a 1947 Piper PA-11 Cub Special.
  • EAA Ultralights Hall of Fame: Dave Goulet (posthumous), co-founder of Quad City Ultralight Corporation, known for manufacturing the Quad City Challenger.

The new additions will be honored by the EAA at a dinner ceremony on October 16 in the Eagle Hangar of the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
