Hilarious Munchie Mitt turns baseball glove into hot dog holder

Well, that’s certainly one way to multitask during a baseball game.

Minor League Baseball has introduced the Munchie Mitt, an all-in-one baseball glove that can hold your hot dog, condiments, and even a drink.

But why?

What is the Munchie Mitt?

Minor League Baseball recently introduced the Munchie Mitt with a video on social media that looked like a parody of a commercial. Little information was provided about the glove other than its function.

The glove, which largely resembles the glove seen on the field at a baseball game, has been modified to include holders for a hot dog as well as mustard and ketchup bottles.

The hot dog holder even has a slider that makes it easy to slide it out of the glove for eating. On the opposite side is a drink container with a long straw.

In videos shared on social media, the Munchie Mitt was touted as a way to enjoy your favorite ballpark refreshments while still being able to use the glove to catch a ball.

Social media is completely wrong with its Munchie Mitt reactions

If the Munchie Mitt was designed to create a buzz on social media, Minor League Baseball has certainly accomplished its mission.

“Sounds like a stoner called it that. I like it,” Ethan Wenger commented on Instagram.

Shawn Womack believes the Munchie Mitt will save us from seeing viral videos of dads trying to catch home run balls.

“The beauty of the videos of dads holding their babies, drinking a beer and catching a ball is top notch. Or they use the beer to catch the ball. That takes away the magic,” Womack commented.

Does the Munchie Mitt really exist?

After some research, baseball fans have discovered that the Munchie Mitt does indeed exist. Minor League Baseball is giving away Munchie Mitts to five lucky fans.

“Because no one should have to choose between catching a ball and eating a hot dog, we present to you the Munchie Mitt: the world’s first baseball glove that dispenses hot dogs, garnishes with mustard, clutches ketchup and grips cold drinks,” says the Minor League Baseball website.

Registration is possible on the website until August 30th.
