Oak View “softly” opened its doors in Flint Hill on Tuesday
Oak View National Bank announced Tuesday afternoon that it will hold a private opening that same morning of its newest full-service bank branch at 644 Zachary Taylor Highway in Flint Hill.
“We couldn’t be prouder and more excited to open Oak View’s fourth full-service branch and bring local community banking back to Rappahannock County,” said Rappahannock County Borough President Jason Brady. “We are a locally owned and operated community bank serving Fauquier, Culpeper and now Rappahannock County. We invite you to get to know us and experience our personalized community banking services.”
For the past few years, Brady has managed a loan processing office for Oak View on Main Street in Washington. That office will close once the branch is fully operational.
The local branch employs five people, including new branch manager Stephanie Bedow, who has worked at Oak View since the bank was chartered and opened on June 8, 2009. She serves as vice president, branch manager and training officer.
“We are fortunate to have two experienced bankers from Oak View who have expressed a desire to relocate to Flint Hill. We have also hired two experienced local bankers to help us staff the entire bank,” said Kim Phillips, vice president of sales and marketing.
Bedow said she is excited about the opportunity to serve the community in greater Rappahannock County.
“I have been with Oak View since we opened and am excited to bring our brand of community banking to Flint Hill,” said Bedow. “Our comprehensive product and service offerings are built on a long-standing tradition of excellent customer service.”
The bank is hosting a grand opening week from September 9 to 13.
“We will have special giveaways and customers can enter to win prizes,” Phillips said. “We invite everyone to come join us at our grand opening celebration. More details will be announced on social media as well as various media sources.”
“We are also offering a special CD tariff for the opening phase.”
Bedow added: “The same people you see at the grocery store and at your kids’ Little League games are the same people who answer the phone when you call. We offer a full range of consumer products and services, including a high-interest checking account, a free checking account and a variety of other accounts.
“We offer companies free positive pay and an experienced treasury management professional who can support them with all their business needs.”
Customers can get a head start by opening an account now online at oakviewbank.com or visiting the branch.
