Owner of Horsham Square Pharmacy retires

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Tom Friedman operated the Horsham Square Pharmacy for 37 years.

And now he is retiring.

At a recent meeting, Horsham Town Council marked Friedman’s retirement with a proclamation recognizing his service as a long-time business owner.

Horsham Township Administrator Bill Walker said at the July meeting that the township has not had many business owners like Friedman.

Walker said Friedman has always maintained close ties with the Horsham community, working with the Rotary Club, the community, the school district, the military base and other organizations to make Horsham a better place to live.

According to officials, Friedman has raised more than $150,000 for civic groups and various causes.

“We were lucky to have you for 40 years,” Walker said.

Friedman will continue to work at Horsham Square as it passes into new ownership by pharmacist Manan Patel.

In August 2019, Friedman returned to his Horsham Square Pharmacy in the Horsham Corner Shopping Center at 575 Horsham Road.

He originally opened his store there in August 1986 and has had three different locations over the years.

In 2003, he had the opportunity to move his business to Ann’s Choice in Warminster.

After a 16-year break, he returned to Horsham.
