Salt-N-Pepa’s Sandra Denton is putting pressure on Southwest after she was kicked off a flight last month, demanding that the airline investigate the incident and preserve all evidence in case a lawsuit is filed.

In a letter obtained by TMZ, Pepa’s lawyers are urging Southwest to begin investigating her removal from a July flight, reiterating their earlier view that a male agent took “inappropriate and unnecessary actions” in handling the situation.

The lawyers make a number of allegations against Southwest, including a belief that Sandra was racially discriminated against and subjected to discrimination during the encounter. They also question the enforcement of certain policies.

In the letter, Pep’s lawyers say she was embarrassed by the ordeal, harassed and suffered loss of income, and are demanding that Southwest investigate everything that happened and pursue a “fair and transparent resolution” of the matter.

They also remind the airline that it must preserve all evidence and prevent the destruction and/or loss of any information related to the incident.

Translation: We could sue you, Southwest, so have all the evidence you can ready for trial.

Their legal team gives Southwest until the end of the month to respond to the letter.

TMZ broke the story. The rapper told us she was kicked off her flight in Las Vegas for medical reasons despite purchasing two tickets. Pepa said she was pressured to give up her extra seat because she didn’t have a cast, even though she was wearing a knee brace at the time.

She claims she was again asked to give up her extra seat when a man boarded the fully booked plane and could not find a seat.

Pepa said she was never naughty during the debate but called her assistant. Eventually she was asked to leave the plane and she said the male passenger eventually got her seat.
