We are saddened to announce the passing of Sandra Jean Clark, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the age of 61, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre in Charlottetown.
Loving mother of Theresa Quinn, Amy Mallett (Colleen Clarke), Andrew Quinn (Kaylah Knockwood) and Ashley Quinn. Loving sister of Kenneth and Patty MacLean (Jeff). Beloved grandmother of Owen and Brooke; Bella, Lily, Maverick, Kacie Mae; Lucas and Tennyson. Special aunt of Tyson, Travis, Jessica, Madison, Lesley and Sydney. Sandra will be missed by her special cousins ​​Allan Clark, Brenda Bruce and Georgie Clark. She is predeceased by her parents Kenneth Sr. and Mary (Alyward) Clark, brother Micheal and nephew Quenten.
Sandra always had a great zest for life, her kindness to others and ability to keep conversations pleasant was always known. Her laughter could be heard from across the room, she enjoyed being told a joke and had the quick wit to respond with humor at any time. She loved everyone she interacted with, whether family, friends or co-workers. She looked forward to working at the Missions Thrift Store each day. Sandra had a passion for outdoor activities, swimming, fishing, camping, animals, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed Sunday worship and reading the Bible and was never afraid of a prayer or spiritual conversion.
Lying in state at Hillsboro Funeral Home with visiting hours Monday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Community Baptist Church.
Burial will take place at Sherwood Cemetery in Charlottetown. Memorial donations may be made online to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre.
Special thanks go to Dr. Stott, Dr. Hennessy, Dr. Whitlock and Dr. Lecours, as well as the nurses and staff at QEH Hospital and the Provincial Palliative Care Centre; her colleagues at the Mission Thrift Store – she adored everyone she worked with because it felt like family – and her brothers and sisters in Christ at Community Baptist Church.
