SCVNews.com | California Credit Union Foundation seeks innovative teachers for Santa Clarita
The California Credit Union Foundation encourages teachers in Los Angeles County, including Santa Clarita, who have an innovative idea for a classroom project to apply for a credit union grant through its Teacher Grant program. The fall program will award ten $500 grants to local teachers in October.
The California Credit Union Foundation’s biennial grant program is available to full-time teachers in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties, as well as credit union members who teach in California, who wish to fund specialized learning opportunities for their students. The project should have clearly defined learning objectives, be tailored to the students’ academic needs, demonstrate creativity, and benefit a large number of students.
“Supporting our teachers and schools is an important part of our foundation’s mission as we work to strengthen our communities,” said Marvel Ford, president of the California Credit Union Foundation. “We are excited to offer this grant program to help our hard-working teachers launch an innovative classroom program and encourage any educator with a project idea to apply.”
