Senator Ted Cruz brings his “Keep Texas, Texas Tour” to Waco

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Following the final day of the Democratic National Convention, Senator Ted Cruz embarked on a press tour, visiting cities across Texas to connect with voters seeking his re-election to the U.S. Senate.

Central Texas residents in Waco welcomed the Lone Star State’s junior senator on Friday as he spoke to voters about supporting him and presidential candidate Donald Trump in the next election.

“This is no longer a fight between Republicans and Democrats, between conservatives and liberals, this is a fight between the sane and the crazy,” Cruz said, speaking about the policies of the Biden/Harris administration.

Cruz focused on the issue of illegal immigration and talked about reducing human and drug trafficking, claiming that the Biden administration had hampered his own efforts to secure the U.S. border with Mexico.

“I worked hand in hand with President Trump to secure the border. We had incredible success, and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris intentionally breached the border, and we went from the lowest rate in 45 years to the highest rate of illegal immigration ever in literally a matter of weeks,” Cruz claimed.

Cruz also expressed his dissatisfaction with Vice President Kamala Harris and urged voters to be aware of the issues that could change the daily lives of Texans.

“This election is about something very simple: It’s about keeping Texas, Texas,” Cruz said.
