Three Clifton Park businesses fail in alcohol raid: Sheriff | News
BALLSTON SPA – Three stores were inspected Friday night as part of an inspection to ensure the sale of alcohol to minors and compliance, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.
Officials said the checks were successful in 40 other checks.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, along with the New York State Liquor Authority, conducted enforcement checks late last week to ensure compliance with regulations on the sale of alcohol by minors. A Facebook post revealed the checks on Thursday and Friday.
The three businesses that were charged in the action after being found to have violated the state law prohibiting the sale of alcohol to persons under 21 are, according to a press release:
-Leisure Clifton Park, 1668 Route 9, Clifton Park
-Stewart’s Shops, 1859 Route 9, Clifton Park
-Druthers Brewing Company, 7 Southside Drive, Clifton Park
The other 40 businesses that passed and complied with the regulations are spread across the county, from South Glens Falls to Clifton Park and Halfmoon, officials said.
A press release on Monday did not describe the efforts in more detail.
